ABSOLUTELY

ABSOLUTELY

Absolutely doesn’t just create music; she conjures a living and breathing universe where emotion and sound become one.
Like a movie projected across the sky, her vision vividly unspools as an otherworldly fantasy soundtracked by an unpredictable hybrid of pop, R&B, electronic, jazz, and rock.
You’ll not only hear the story, but you’ll also immediately see it and feel it.
She invites everyone to escape into her embrace with a series of 2025 singles for Epic Records and much more to come.
“When you listen to me, I want you to feel like you’re entering a whole fantastical world,” she says.
“The music has a pop structure in terms of the melodies and how I’m singing, but the production is very cinematic, complex, and strange.
I’m definitely breaking boundaries between genres.
There are so many elements, but they all fit into one world for me.”
On this planet, you can trace her origins back to South London where she grew up raised by a Ghanaian-Swiss mother and British father.
During 2019, the lifelong creative developed her signature style by dropping a string of self-produced EPs.
Simultaneously, she established herself behind-the-scenes as an in-demand songwriter whose catalog now spans cuts for David Guetta, Tinashe, Teddy Swims, Saweetie, GIVEON, Normani, and Anitta, to name a few.
She also notably worked with LISA of BLACKPINK on her debut album, Alter Ego, receiving writing and production credits on “Thunder” and “Lifestyle.”
Signing to Epic Records, she made waves with 2023’s Cerebrum, spawning “Fever Dream,” “Patterns,” and more.
Right out of the gate, NOTION applauded how the album “pushes back against conventional music, elevating her creativity to new heights,” and EUPHORIA. raved, “the 13-track body of work refreshingly sounds like an original piece of work that cannot be compared.”
FIZZY MAG christened her “a vital new star in the making.”
Between supporting Raye on a sold-out tour, she magnified her impact with one scorching collaboration after another.
Beyond “Stay With Me” [with Louis The Child] and “Shades” [with Snakehips], she joined forces with Tiësto and Rudimental for the 2024 banger “Waterslides,” which eclipsed 16 million Spotify streams and counting.
At the same time, she perfected her artistry with clear-eyed intent and cohesion.
Absolutely drew inspiration from Tim Burton films like Alice In Wonderland and childhood favorites a la Coraline.
In the studio, the songstress carefully architected the framework for her next evolution.
“For a little while there, I was trying to fit myself into a box and I became a bit stuck,” she admits.
“I listened to all of these opinions around me, and they distorted my own voice.
I remember I hadn’t made a song in a few weeks—which is a long time for me.
All of a sudden, this piano melody came, inspired me, and brought the true sound out.”
Flaunting this “true sound,” she commences her next era with the viral “I Just Don't Know You Yet.”
She first teased the song on tour with BANKS, inciting immediate applause from packed crowds.
Performance clips organically surged on social media thereafter, generating millions of views on TikTok and stirring up demand from fans for an official release.
So, Absolutely delivered.
Now, “I Just Don’t Know You Yet” layers her alternately vulnerable and vital vocals atop a breathtaking “Queen-like” soundscape produced by longtime collaborator Dave Hamelin and featuring dynamic live instrumentation.
For as intimate as the lyrics are, it culminates on an undeniably anthemic and cathartic chant, “I just don't know you yet, but I know you've been sent from God.”
“Before the creation of the song, I had it so heavy on my heart that God wanted me to pray for my future husband,” she reveals.
“I didn’t know who he was at the time or when I would meet him, but I felt so strongly that he needed prayers in that moment.
After this happened, I went into the studio, and I felt equipped to take a swing at Dave’s epic track.
I asked for God to guide me in the writing process and to let the lyrics be so honest and pure—and they became just that.
Even though you may have been hurt in the past, love isn’t worth giving up on.
This is something you want to scream in the car with your friends or sing your heart out to.
I want it to uplift people and re-spark hope inside of them.”
On the horizon, the single “Goodbye Glitter” further showcases her evolution.
On the track, a classically-inspired piano melody tiptoes through a haze of big screen-worthy strings and sparse percussion.
Her vocals swoon over the orchestration as she proclaims, “I found some stardust, and it’s better than anything I’ve ever known.
It’s something bigger and far beyond.
It’s something beautiful, the only place I feel that I belong.”
“It was based on a Bible verse, ‘Do not store up for yourselves treasures on Earth,’” she reveals.
“Instead, look to the heavens and the eternal rather than the temporary.
It relates to my life in many ways.
You could fall in love with the wrong person and think it’s forever.
In your heart, you realize it’s only for now.
‘Glitter’ is decorative, and it stays on the surface.
I’m saying goodbye to that for this chapter though and being the most authentic person I can be at the root of myself.”
By assuming control and consciously pushing forward, Absolutely has built a world evocative of who she is—just like no other.
“I was a bit half-stitched for a while, but now I’m taking the reins and I want my music to be heard,” she concludes.
“I’m going to do everything I can to make that happen.
There are no excuses.
I’m owning this shit as a boss.
My art is free and fun, and it makes inner childhood happy because there are no rules.
I’m going to transport you to another reality with me.”
